We invest in local organisations that facilitate activities to build and strengthen our community. 

Our community investment funding is made possible by the profits generated from banking services held with the Drouin and District Community Bank branch. 

Community Investment Funding 

Before you apply for funding, please note that the following restrictions apply to all applications.

If you believe that you may be affected by one of these criteria, please email us on admin@drouinddfs.com.au or phone 5625 9165 to discuss your situation so that we can assess if you may be eligible for an exemption.

Generally, applications are unlikely to be approved it:

  • Funding is for an individual person or a commercial enterprise
  • Funding is for recurrent costs or for items already purchased
  • You do not already have a bank account, or list your intention to open a bank account with Community Bank Drouin & District (funds can only be deposited into a Community Bank Drouin & District bank account)
  • You have failed to acquit previous funding received
  • You have failed to comply with conditions set out for previous funding received

Requests will also be looked upon more favourably if an applicant indicates that they will be contributing to the item applied for.

Applications for above $5,000 should be accompanied by quotes. Quotes from local suppliers will be looked upon more favourably

 Grants 

  • Our grants are paid to an organisation to address a social issue within the community. 
  • Our grants program is usually only open mid-February to mid-March each year.

Sponsorships 

  • We sponsor events, projects or organisations through the provision of money, goods or services in return for customer acquisition opportunities and brand recognition.

Please refer to our sponsorship matrix on for guidance regarding what is the base level of support being sought for the most common levels of funding requested.

The Board will also consider sponsorship packages developed by community groups or any additional items that you wish to submit. For larger sums of funding, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your proposal first.

All successful applicants must return their signed sponsorship agreement and attend a funds presentation event before they can receive their funding. Our sponsorship rounds are as follows:

  • Round 1 – Applications close midnight, second last Monday in February with a funds presentation event held in March/April (depending on Easter school holidays)
  • Round 2 – Applications close midnight, second last Monday in May with a funds presentation event held in June
  • Round 3 – Applications close midnight, second last Monday in August with a funds presentation event held in September/October (depending on school holidays)
  • Round 4 – Applications close midnight, second last Monday in November with a fund's presentation event held in December

Scholarships 

We provide scholarships for to assist students at secondary college enrolled in VET/VETiS course and for school leavers to attend TAFE/RTO.

Basic qualification criteria is as follows but please ensure that you read the full guidelines by following the application link below

  • Qualification criteria:

    • You must be aged 16 to 18 - Students under the age of 18 years will require parental/guardian consent to accept this scholarship.
    • You must be commencing your studies in 2026 
    • You have been offered a place to commence study in 2026 at an approved Australian TAFE institute or Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in an approved Australian course*.
    • You can be studying at on campus and/or off campus (including online).
    • You can be studying on a full-time or part-time basis.

    *Eligible courses include:

    • Full-time or competency-based completion (Apprenticeships),
    • Certificate I, II, III or IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or associate degree, or if secondary college be enrolled in VET/VETiS, Foundation level training
    • Course must be of at least 10 weeks’ duration for full-time study or the part time equivalent.
